Characters

Roy Cakes

A 40-year-old chocolate cake with a Bronx attitude and zero filter. Roy's been soaking up the flavors and history of the diner for decades. He can't cook, can't clean, has no money, no hands, and no legal identity — but he'll be damned if anyone runs this place without his say-so.

Rosalind Scaunt

A British heiress who impulse-bought a Bronx diner for forty million pounds to spite a talking cake. Armed with a business degree and absolutely no idea what she's gotten herself into, she's determined to make Clover Street Diner flourish — if it doesn't kill her first.

Ben

A local artist, recently evicted, and the friendliest person in the Bronx. Ben is the glue that holds the diner together — the guy who diffuses every argument, tries every terrible special, and genuinely believes this place has something worth saving.

Oren

The teenage cashier who meets every situation with the same energy: none. Oren's deadpan responses are the only thing drier than Roy, and his commitment to doing the bare minimum is genuinely inspiring.

Tandy

The cook. Tandy's food meets the federally mandated parameters to be legally called food. The kitchen catches fire sometimes. They're working on it.
